Training Needs Analysis
Training Needs Analysis
Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is defined as the “Identification of training requirements and the most cost effective means of meeting those requirements”. Before starting any training project our specialists are available to analyse exactly what is required. This ensures that the project objectives are constructed at the outset, a suitable approach can be prepared and then measured against to confirm the project’s success.
customised courses
Course Development
Once the training needs are clearly defined the best approach for delivery can be developed. This stage will include the creation of course outlines, course delivery style (classroom, hands-on, workshops etc.), course length, pre-requisites and recommended attendees.

Training Material Creation / elearning
A key part to any training project is suitable support documentation, Project Portfolio’s instructional designers will investigate the optimum type of support material, be it Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), eLearning or user manuals. Whichever option is best suited they will always be clearly laid out and easy to understand, avoiding any technobabble where necessary.
managing training schedules
Course Scheduling
Project Portfolio offer both onsite and offsite Project Portfolio is on hand to assist or manage the scheduling of any training roll out, this takes into account your daily resource requirements and commitments in order to ensure operational duties are fulfilled during the roll out.
instructor-led
courses
Instructor-Led Classroom Delivery
Project Portfolio can provide training via several media; perhaps the most common style is Instructor-Led. This can be carried out at your offices or at a suitable training venue. These sessions will often have a very clear agenda with the facilitator ensuring all the key messages are correctly communicated, the advantage being that a consistent message can be delivered to several groups within an organisation.
1
to 1 coaching 1 to 1 Coaching
There may be instants when only one or two members of staff require training or some learners need to be guided a little more than others. 1 to 1 training can then be customised to meet a specific delegate’s requirements and pace.
drop-in
sessions
Hands-On Workshops & Drop-In Sessions
One of Project Portfolios novel concepts is the use of workshops or drop-in sessions. Sometimes an organisation may highlight a need for a specific training course and bring in a trainer to deliver a day’s training, the issue with this may be that each delegate only actually requires a couple of aspects of the course but has to sit through the whole day to gain that information. Drop-in sessions allow a day to be broken up into clearly timetabled segments, with delegates only attending the parts of the course that are relevant to their roles.
go-live
support
Floor Walking / Go-Live Support
Floor walking is the perfect solution for offering new users a little extra help after a training course or in the first days after a new system is implemented. Alternatively, a training consultant can simply be available to assist and guide users of any software solution without the need for tying up resources at a full day training session, it allows for staff to continue with their daily responsibilities while getting handy tips on how to carry out their tasks in more efficient ways.
